Parenting Without Punishment Vol III
Ready for this week?!
All about FEELINGS
Let's dive in!
Resource Review
It will come as no surprise to you that HSC have BIG feelings. So this week’s resource is meant to help you (begin to) navigate that. (It’s a practice… an ever-evolving one…)
See what I think and feel about Inside Out (and Inside Out 2) and how it relates to your HSC.
Try it out!
Watch ANYTHING your child wants to watch - and try to watch it from their point of view. Ask them about it (or be quietly curious about it if they don’t love being questioned) - NO shame, NO judgement, NO opinions - pure curiosity. There are feelings in every. single. show. It doesn’t have to be (though it could be) Inside Out, but I promise you: anything your child is watching - no matter how young or old they are - has an opportunity to talk about feelings AND to learn more about them.
Moon about it
Wax on - wax off. We're in the waxing phase (first quarter) which means you'll see more light on the moon and more light shone on your intention.
Check in on what your intention was with the new moon last week and see what needs to be adjusted. Have you had enough time to reflect? If not, no worries (life is life-ing) but see how you can microdose moments of reflection and pause.
Guided meditation
While they may not always come at the most convenient time and place, feelings are messages - important messages, at that!
This week's meditation is for kids - designed to help them notice feelings in their body.
Here in all the feelings - big, small, and massive,

P.S. I know it says this is the edition about all the feelings... but don't worry, there will be MANY MORE editions to come alllllll about alllllll the feelings.
